The Windows operating system is very complete and reliable. It continually updates you when something new comes along. But what happens if you miss an update? How will that affect your computer? To make sure this never happens, they created WebVersions. As you can probably gather by now, with WebVersions you will always know if you are using the latest version of a program, or have missed an important update.

WebVersions is very easy to use. First you download the ZIP package and extract the program to a folder of your choice. Then you launch the WebVersions.exe. To add software to the database you can do it in one of two ways: copy one of the custom applications lists to the WebVersions.txt file, or manually add your own to the database. Once you've added the application, you just have to click the "Web Update" button to check for new versions.

So in other words all you have to do is show WebVersions the list of applications you most often use (manually or giving it a text file) and it will automatically check each one for a later version on the author's website.
